Many people start their blogs on hosted platforms. Hosted blogging solutions can be a good way to start, because they’re free and they’re generally trusted in the search engines. But there are perils associated with hosting a blog on someone else’s server.
For one thing, you’re at the mercy of the owner of the platform. Blogger, for example, can delete a blog without warning, many assume, because perhaps they felt the blog was too much like spam or too commercial.
WordPress doesn’t allow affiliate links to be used on their blogs, so making money by hosting a blog on their servers can be more difficult for some. Ideally, you should start your blog on your own server, preferably in the root of the domain.
Some people have their blog in a subdirectory, such as yourdomain.com/blog. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but if
you are not using a squeeze page in the root directory, then putting your blog on its own domain can have special benefits. To read more click here
I think we all know most successful people you meet or read about has at one time or another failed. Some of the richest and most successful people in the modern world have experienced bankruptcy or there or thereabouts.
It is probably not realistic to expect to follow someone who has succeeded step by step and experience success. However, the best internet marketing help I can give is having a mentor should keep you on the right track but you still have to experience things first hand. You can almost certainly learn more from things that go wrong as from things that go right. it is easy to say when you fail just pick yourself up and carry on going, however you must just make sure you learn from your mistakes.
If you want to succeed you must have a strong desire. Set some achievable goals and go for it. Write down all the things you don’t like about your current lifestyle. Then write down everything that would make your lifestyle what you want it to be. Now evaluate these points being realistic – no rose tinted spectacles but no abject despair either. It is undoubtedly true that traffic is the life blood of your business because to become profitable every business needs traffic. Of course by traffic I mean people. If you don’t have visitors with money to spend coming to your site you will not sell any products at all.
With the millions of people searching on line every day there is bound to be someone searching for what you are selling. You therefore need to put yourself in front of these prospects and give them the chance to buy what you have to offer.
It is stating the obvious but the best bit of internet marketing help I can give is, even if your website or blog is really well optimized and your product is the best on the planet, you still need visitors or traffic. If you don’t have any visitors you will not sell any products. Read more here
Here in the United Kingdom there is suddenly a great deal of activity as the Government backed by big business try and encourage more people on line. BT for one are running an IT (information Technology) campaign under the heading “Open up a “New World for Someone Online.”
They say for many using the web can be baffling and confusing. They want to change this because they believe everybody should be able to enjoy the wonders of the web.
They have launched a “Get Online Week” where they want there customers to use there on line know how to give internet marketing help to show other people what to do.They have also put up two netbooks as prices as well as numerous runner up prices.
This is an excellent opportunity for the beginner or newbie.
What do you need to get going? Well not a lot really is the short answer. You will need a computer or at the very least access to a computer. Your local library should be able to set you up fairly inexpensively.
Ideally you want to be able to access the internet from home. You will of course need a computer. Here basically you have a choice between a desktop and a laptop. Which you choose will in the end boil down to your personal situation. A laptop is of course portable and you can take it wherever you like in the house and provided it is wireless enabled you can get an internet connection usually everywhere in the house.
A desktop is usually fixed and therefore possible less convenient. However it does come with a separate monitor (screen) keyboard and mouse. If you have difficulty seeing or using small buttons a desktop computer may be more practicable.
Broadband is the name given to any fast, permanent internet connection. The easiest way to connect to the internet at home is with broadband for a fixed monthly price.
When you buy a broadband internet connection, the supplier will send you everything you need to connect your computer to the internet. With some suppliers you can even choose to have an engineer come out and get you up and running as well as answer your initial questions.

Last week I attended two conferences, The Cambridge Business Academy one in Cambridge(starring Russell Brunson)& Nick James ” Cracking the Code” one at Heathrow. The latter was by the far and away the best, partly because of the information given and partly because of the lack of “hard sell”.
I did spend a lot of time speaking to other attendees, quite randomly & only one said they were making any money and they still had not got to a cash positive situation.
A number had already bought, what I consider expensive programs (into 5 figures Łsterling) and it was quite clear they had not got the foundations right.
I really do suggest everybody with any intention of having an internet business should get Ron Woodham’s “Basic Steps for Beginners”. This will give them the platform to do almost anything.
Go to www.internetrookienomore.com enter your name and email and study closely his sales page. His earlier product led to my breakthrough.
Remember on this blog and at www.totalfreetraffic.co.uk there is a mine of information mostly free or at worst very low cost
